Pianist, Répétiteur, Photographer

Katie is a versatile pianist, currently working as a répétiteur and vocal coach. She most recently joined as music staff at Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach. Katie has served as Junior Fellow after completing the Artist Diploma répétiteur course, with distinction, at Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD). Her studies were fully supported generously by Help Musicians Sybil Tutton Award and the Guildhall School Award.
Previously, she obtained her Masters of Music with distinction from Royal Academy of Music, where she studied with Michael Dussek and Andrew West. She also read music at Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, where she received the Beament Prize.
Enjoying a packed schedule, Katie participated in numerous summer opera festivals as music staff, including: Buxton International Festival (2022) on Viva la Diva (Donizetti), with British Youth Opera (2021) at Opera Holland Park L’occasione fa il Ladro (Rossini) and Ryedale Festival (2017, 2018) in Così fan tutte and La finta giardiniera (Mozart). She has also attended the Solti-Peretti Repetiteur’s Course in Venice, April 2019.
During her time at Guildhall, she has served as répétiteur in numerous Guildhall productions: La Fedeltà Premiata, Triple Bill, Beginnings, Double Bill: Telephone and Miss Fortune, and Opera Maker Scenes. Conductors and music directors she has worked with include: Alice Farnham, Stevie Higgins, Chad Kelly, Tim Redmond, Liz Rowe and Dominic Wheeler.
In her spare time, Katie is addicted to marathon running (currently completed 11!), photography and language learning (currently speaking 7). Katie’s most recent obsession is xenharmony. If you run out of ideas for gifts for Katie, feel free to crowdfund her a Lumatone.
